Gateshead-based Team Valley Group has worked closely with the team behind the relaunch of Gateshead Leisure Centre providing a complete marketing solution to support its reopening.
The centre, which closed last July due to Gateshead Council budget cuts, re-opened its doors to the public on June 14th following the acquisition of funding including £105,532 of funding from the Swimming Pool Support Fund, a £100,000 donation from Gateshead Corporation Club and a £150,000 grant from Keyfund.
The centre has reopened providing residents in the area with access to the much-missed facilities including a gym, children’s soft play area, 25m swimming pool and Clip ‘N Climb, with further plans to introduce new attractions such as a virtual reality escape room and an inflatable obstacle course.
TVG collaborated with the team working to bring Gateshead Leisure Centre back to life providing a comprehensive branding solution which included a new look logo, website, internal and external signage, local advertising and marketing support across multiple social media channels.
Team Valley Group Director, Andrew Auton said “We were delighted to work with Robert Waugh and the team to reopen the doors to a much-needed sporting facility.
Robert Waugh, Director at Gateshead Leisure Centre said, “TVG have been on board our project since it was in its early planning stages, offering a huge amount of support and advice. We are both grateful for the support offered pre-opening, the quality of work delivered on the re-branding of the Centre and the quality production of our media campaign. They have been a vital partner in our journey, leading us to the reopening of the Centre”.
The new look leisure centre is located on Alexandra Road and is open Monday to Sunday from 6.15am to 11.15pm.
